This policy covers the SearchStory marketing website at searchstory.ai, its enquiry forms and its website editor. It does not describe the separate account, connected analytics or reporting features at app.searchstory.ai.

What we collect
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, optional business name, message and the time of submission. For Enterprise enquiries we also record which privacy notice you acknowledged. The free-access form collects your name and email address. Please do not include passwords, payment information or sensitive personal details in either form.
Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information, including IP address, browser information and access logs, to deliver and protect this website. The owner’s website-editor sign-in provides an account identifier and email address for access control.
Why we use your details
We use enquiry information to answer your questions, discuss your requirements and arrange access where requested. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract where applicable. We use necessary technical information for our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website.
The privacy checkbox confirms that you have read this notice. It is not consent to marketing. Submitting a form does not subscribe you to a mailing list, create an app account or make a payment. We do not use these forms for automated decisions or profiling.
Who receives the information
Enquiries are stored in the website’s database and can be viewed by its authorised administrator. The site uses OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure, including Cloudflare services, to host content, store enquiries and control editor access. If we reply by email, our email service provider will process that correspondence. We do not sell enquiry information.
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request those font files, which exposes technical request information such as your IP address. See Google’s privacy information.
International processing
Technology providers may process information outside the UK. The location and protection of that processing depend on their service terms and data-processing arrangements. Contact us if you would like details about the providers and transfer arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long we keep information
Enquiry records in this website’s database are retained for up to 12 months. Expired records are removed when the enquiry service is next accessed. Correspondence or records needed for an ongoing customer relationship, legal obligations or a dispute may be held separately for as long as that purpose requires. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Email the contact above; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113. You do not need to contact us first, although we welcome the chance to resolve a concern.
